Hello, thank you for reading my letter! A few notes:

• I'm a slow commenter so please don't panic if it takes awhile for me to comment.
• Some things will have more prompts than others but that doesn't mean I want anything more or less than anything else.
• Although I try to provide a lot of prompts please don't feel like you need to write one of them! I think prompts make it easier to see where I'm coming from/how I'm approaching the tag, but this letter is not a final summation of all the fic plots I could possibly enjoy. Whatever you come up with will be great!

DNWs

• Suicide, suicidal ideation, mentions of suicide, implied suicide, the word suicide
  • You may find yourself in a situation where you're writing, say, one character staying behind to fight so that their teammates can escape. Please focus on their determination to save their comrades, live as long as possible, and maybe just maybe succeed without dying no matter how slim the chances are.
  • Or, since I've requested time loops, you might find yourself writing a character who seeks/experiences temporary death to achieve some goal. Temporary character death is fine, but please have them killed by other people rather than killing themselves.
• dissociation/depersonalization from the POV of the person experiencing it
  • examples include characters not feeling real, not feeling connected to their body, feeling like they're viewing a scene from the third person while someone else moves their body.
  • Exceptions to the above:
    • obviously there are canon characters who can do that kind of thing to themselves/other people because of their cool powers.
    • characters having a literal out-of-body experience because of magic ninja bullshit is fine.
    • characters literally not being in control of their bodies because of magic ninja bullshit is fine.
  • What I DNW is dissociation and the like as a reaction to stress/trauma. If it's enemy action to be resisted and fought against, go for it.
• first person POV
• characters meeting other versions of themselves on-screen
• Unrequested AUs that change the setting, replace the magic system, or significantly change the society the characters live in.
  • So, no to: mundane AUs, IN SPACE AUs, fantasy AUs, soulmate AUs, etc, unless directly requested.
  • But yes to: canon divergence, alternate timelines, For Want Of A Nail
• permanent death of requested characters
  • It's okay if AU version of characters die or are dead.
• focus on unrequested ships
  • people having parents any whatever is fine
  • I don't want shipfic or significant romance-focused screentime for romantic relationships I haven't indicated an interest in

Hatake Kakashi & Sai (Naruto)

I love Kakashi and I love Sai and I just think they go great together! It's not a gen pairing that gets written very much, but I am extremely desperate for it. I don't mind hints/mentions of Sai ships with anyone in his age group, but I definitely want a focus on this gen pairing because it's so rare!

Prompts:

• I am obviously very into something where they grow closer. I have a lot of feelings about Sai being a ROOT agent and also about being a ROOT agent technically being treason! Also so many feelings about Sai expecting to be left behind/not rescued/not provided medical attention/being shocked that he's being trusted with something. Lay it on thick, I'm so ready.
• I would be equally interested in something a little more antagonistic — like Kakashi being suspicious of Sai being placed on a team with Sakura and Naruto. An eventual happy ending would be nice if you're up to it, but I would also really enjoy a small scene exploring their POV on the subject that leaves the conclusion up to the imagination.
• Or maybe you like hurt/comfort with Kakashi being hurt more! I would be very into Sai awkwardly trying to figure out how to comfort someone, preferably in a manner that's played very straight for the characters but in the abstract is funny to the audience (i.e., my favorite form of humor is where the characters are making very serious, earnest, logical choices and it's only funny because for example we know that simply buying 10 cans of soup and leaving them in someone's apartment is not, in fact, comforting)
• Sai is secretly an Uchiha! Kakashi finds out. Maybe post-Massacre, maybe in an AU where the Uchiha are still around to have opinions.
• ...okay usually I'm kind of meh on the era where Kakashi is Hokage because I'm not that into post-canon fic, but uh??? I'd love to see Kakashi supporting Sai in his post-ROOT life and I would LOVE to see Sai interacting with Hokage!Kakashi. If you're interested in an AU where Kakashi becomes Hokage earlier/in some other way (Jiraiya can't find Tsunade so the hat gets shoved onto Kakashi?) that'd be neat too.
• Sai time travels; he has to trust someone and he picks Kakashi. Or, Kakashi mistakes him for an infiltrator and Sai has to come clean.
• Kakashi time travels; he rescues Sai (and maybe Shin!) from ROOT early.
• Dimension travel: a Sai who never fell in with Team 7 dimension travels to a universe where he's trusted and liked; Sai in a dimension where the Uchiha massacre never happed; Sai meeting Kakashi in a universe where there's no village and Kakashi is just a random Hatake; Kakashi meeting Sai in a universe where there's no village and Sai is an Uchiha (...maybe one stolen from the Uchiha via bloodline theft!)

Hatake Kakashi/Yamato | Tenzou (Naruto)

My bar for things being "shippy enough" is really low — I will take pre-relationship UST or whatever very happily! — but I would also like something overtly romantic/sexual. I'd prefer they both be at least 18 for anything that implies they're having sex.

(Also I call him Tenzō reflexively because I spend so much time thinking about this relationship within the context of Dreaming of Sunshine, but I'm happy for him to be called Yamato instead!)

• I am absolutely a sucker for all kinds of misunderstandings and Tenzō angst and watching Kakashi actually trying to comfort someone is always a good time.
• I'd love to see Kakashi struggling with Tenzō's ROOT conditioning or just with Tenzō having low self esteem and I'd love to see them taking care of each other.
• Missionfic — what were ANBU missions like for them?
• How did Kakashi leaving ANBU change their relationship?
• Time travel — they time travel together to prevent a terrible sad future; one of them time travels and needs help from the other in the past; they each time travel from a different horrible future that they need to prevent; they find themselves back in the Warring Clans Era
• Caught in a time loop where one of them watches the other die over and over until they can undo a seal/end a jutsu/whatever.

Solo: Haruno Sakura (Naruto)

I stan Sakura so hard. Give me your most iddy, strongest, power fantasy!Sakura imaginable and I will bask in its glow. It's just so satisfying! I like (but don't require) when Sakura is written with civilian pairings. In terms of gen I would enjoy basically anything, but definitely have a soft spot for Team 7, Tsunade, Zabuza, and Shizune.

Ships: I'm into a lot of Sakura ships, omg. Give Sakura a wonderful romance in addition to coolass powers if you want! That sounds so nice.

• If you're shipping her with someone in her age group (someone from the Rookie 9, someone from Team Gai, one of the sand sibs, etc) then go forth and prosper — I don't really like the tone canon took with Sakura/Sasuke and there are a lot of ships there I've never even considered, but I am willing to explore it from your POV! M/F and F/F equally welcome.
• In terms of shipping her with other characters, I'd prefer Sakura to be at least 18 in the fic and off the top of my head I'd be interested in Sakura/Kakashi, Sakura/Kisame, Sakura/Itachi, Sakura/Shisui, Sakura/Tobirama, Sakura/Madara, Sakura/Mito. If you want to include a ship I haven't opted into here, feel free to ask one of the other exchange helpers to ask me about it!

Prompts:

• Someone is injured and Sakura helps. Maybe they're an enemy! Maybe it's time travel and she's saving Izuna! Maybe it's a friend and Sakura has to put her emotions aside to save them!
• Dealing with left over canon stuff — Kankurō or one of the other Sand Sibs brings up that time Sakura saved Kankurō's life; years after the fact Sakura feels like she can finally talk to Naruto about that time Sasuke chidori'd him in the chest; Sakura and Iruka talk about how the Academy system could be improved for students like Sakura; what was it like for Shizune to see Tsunade take Sakura on as a student?
• Tsunade is going somewhere and Sakura is one of her guards. Maybe she gets to punch an assassin!
• Time travel — Sakura mentally travels back in time and is SO STRONG; Sakura physically travels back in time and is SO STRONG; averting the Uchiha Massacre; helping the village come together; earning her place in a Warring Clans Era clan (in which case I would welcome Sakura/Original Male Character!)
• Dimension travel — a universe where Tsunade never became Hokage; a universe where Sakura never advanced past genin; a universe where Konoha had a Bloodline purge like Mist and the entire village system collapsed; a universe where the village never came together.

Zabuza!!! The young me who first watched the Wave arc will never let go of this guy, omg. I am literally just requesting all of the Zabuza tags because I love him, ok? Ok. He and Hayate have swords and my love for Kakashi and Sakura is endless so there is no ways to go wrong here. In terms of other gen, I'd be interested in Zabuza & Haku, Zabuza & any other canonical Mist character. In terms of ships besides those above, I'd be interesting in Zabuza/Mei if you want to explore the Mist rebellion!

Prompts:

• What were missions like for Zabuza before the Wave mission? What was training Haku like?
• Zabuza (and preferably Haku!) live through the Wave arc and go on to help with the Mist Rebellion.
• In a missing nin Kakashi AU, Zabuza and Kakashi have to take a mission together. Or maybe they're working against each other, but have to team up against a stronger opponent. Or they meet because Haku is young and in trouble and Kakashi can't keep his nose out of it!
• In a missing nin Kakashi AU, Team 7 has some other, terrible sensei. Maybe he dies or maybe he skedaddles when things get too rough — Zabuza is suddenly in charge of 4 children. Or maybe just Sakura is left behind!
• Zabuza joins Konoha, makes friends.
• Time/dimension traveling Zabuza needs someone to trust with young Haku's safety. Time/dimension travelling Kakashi needs an ally from outside the village.

Tsunade & Yamato | Tenzou (Naruto)

I would give so much real actual money for more scenes between these two in canon but instead I'm here, enthusing at you. Both of these characters are so great and there are so many interesting ways for them to interact!

Prompts:

• What was it like for Tenzō when Tsunade became Hokage? I imagine there were notable differences between how things were under the Sandaime verses how Tsunade ran things.
• The problem of bloodline theft!!! Did they ever have a conversation about how Tenzō has Mokuton?
• I really like fics about loyalty, especially loyalty to someone who the character isn't sure has their best interests at heart — I obviously know Tsunade is perfect, but Tenzō doesn't....yet he serves her anyway! That's such interesting tension and I'd love something that explored it.
• Dimension travel — Tenzō travels to a timeline where Tsunade never became Hokage; Tenzō travels to a No Village AU and is mistaken for a Senju; Tsunade travels to a verse where Tenzō is still in ROOT long after he got out in canon.
• Time travel — Tenzō travels back in time and brings his information to Tsunade; Tsunade travels back in time and saves Tenzō from ROOT or being shunted into ANBU.
• Hurt/Comfort — I would love something where Tenzō is unfamiliar with receiving basic medical attention at the hospital and Tsunade has no chill about it.
