Dreaming of Sunshine Fanfiction

• What recursive fics do you think new folks should read? over on /r/DreamingofSunshine pretty much covers it except...
• Shikako Nara's Guide To Delinquency and Military Insurrection by jacksgreysays — Gardens fic that I love okay.
• The Grass Chuunin Exams by witchbreaker — just deserves a special shout-out.
• Silver Queen Appreciation 2018! A wonderful project from this fall where we surprised SQ with birthday fic.

General Naruto Fanfiction

• Whose Allegiance Is Ruled by Expedience and The Way of the Apartment Manager by edenfalling — A short story about a civilian's business dealings with Orochimaru and a multichapter fic about a civilian adopting Naruto. Both complete!
• Time Travel Tango, or, Rasa and the Cat, The Wall, and Sanctuary by greenkangaroo — Three short stories: what I consider to be the perfect Naruto time travel story that focuses on Kankurou, a post-4th War Chouza fic that always makes me cry, and a post-Sand-Sound invasion story about the struggles the Sand sibs run into when they get back to Suna. All complete!
• Sanitize by SageThrasher — An OC-insert who was a doctor in a previous life struggles with living in the Warring Clans Era; I would die for this fic. WIP.
• Freedom in the Eyes of Another by oroburos69 — An AU where the Land of Waves mission goes really, really wrong. Sakura-centric, very excellent. Complete.

Naruto Meta

• fineillsignup / yunyu recently put her Naruto meta up on AO3
• elenathehun wrote The Hyuuga Clan: what not to do about a year ago.
• Before Hokage and After: A Tsunade Analysis is an old piece of meta rendered unreadable without logging into the forum it's posted on but I have a google docs version I'd be willing to share privately to anyone who's interested.
• Tsunade in close-quarters combat is an old pimer for VS battles that goes really in-depth on how much damage Tsunade can probably do. It's on the same site as above but without logging in all you're missing out on are citation-style links like [2] <--that, so it's legible as-is.

Non-Naruto Stuff

• yer a wizard, dudley by dirgewithoutmusic — Exactly what it says on the tin, made me cry for like an entire morning. Reread often. Complete.
• Personal Assistants, Superheroes, and World Save-age by crunchysunrises|Crunchysunrises — An EXCELLENT Buffy the Vampire Slayer / MCU Iron Man crossover from 2015. 22k, complete, and did I mention EXCELLENT.
• Because it's Real by kaotic312 — A LotR + Hobbit fic about what happens in the Undying Lands. Very funny and meaningful, 11k, complete.
• “Bastard, orphan, son of [redacted]”: The Hamilton-Washington Connection Through a Maternal Lens by icarusandtheson — Meta about Hamilton's mom! A straight up essay!
• Eleutherophobia by SoloMoon — A long, wonderful series of post-canon Animorphs fics. Highly recommended, written by a pal of mine. You might also enjoy her tumblr thejakeformerlyknownasprince (or the RSS feed solomoon_tumblr_feed) or her podcast Fandalite Academy (or the RSS feed fandalite_academy_feed) or her blog that she writes sometimes with her sister, Plot Smiths (or... you guessed it.... the RSS feed plotsmiths_feed
• Subject: A Comprehensive Report by bonesofbirdwings|BonesOfBirdWings and Yesterday Upon The Stair by PitViperOfDoom — Two Boku no Hero Academia fic I've been enjoying! WIP.
• Sawbones (sawbones_feed), a medical history podcast, and Fansplaining (fansplaining_feed) for interesting conversations about fannish things.
